Great Horned Owls
Junior Forest Wardens
Our Junior Forest Wardens group has been active at Clymont since it was formed in the fall of 1991. This is a family outdoors youth program for ages 6 to 18 years. We learn outdoor survival, forestry, ecology and leadership skills. These are learned through hands on activities, games, crafts and projects. We also have family camps, family field trips and twice monthly meetings held Saturday mornings 9:30 to 11:00 AM. Our projects have involved tree planting, memorial nature trail, bird box and feeder building and making bat houses to include a few. In outdoor skills we learn fire building and safety, knife safety and carving, and first aid among others. To assist our dedicated leaders, we also arrange various resource people to visit and enhance our programs.
COME JOIN THE ADVENTURE!!
Our September 2008 registration will be held in the Clymont Hall.
Don't forget our annual fundraiser hosted with the East Parkland Crime Watch Pig Roast Dinner and Dance on October 4th. Call Lynn at 470-0627 for tickets - all proceeds are equally divided between the two groups.
